It might be fruitless to talk about post-rock when referring to Grails now, but it certainly matters in the sense that the band are redefining how it works: what it means to deploy a non-rock instrument, how crossing genres is a lot more than changing tempo, and how its narratives need not always follow the same old cathartic story.
